How we use AI

We use AI tools as part of how we make guides. We would rather tell you than leave you to guess.

What AI does

• Finds and groups the questions people ask about a topic.
• Writes a first draft of each guide from a brief.
• Checks each claim in a draft against the public health sources the guide cites, and flags anything that does not match.

What people decide

• Which topics we cover and how we answer them.
• What gets published, and what gets corrected.

What this means for you

Our guides are not written or reviewed by a clinician. Use them to understand your options, then confirm anything important with a doctor, nurse, pharmacist or sexual health clinic.
